Last week it was time for the “play” in Teqplay: we participated in a hackathon organised with clients and other IT-companies.
Today we proudly launch our new website! Over the past years Teqplay has grown fast and the old website needed a makeover. It was time for something new!
Digitization is the start of a new era in the maritime industry. Real-time information and tools to make smarter and informed decisions are key to be in control, pro-active and to successfully collaborate. The shipping industry needs insight in what is happening and is expected to happen, both in planning and execution. It’s all about improving asset utilization, reducing waste in operational cost labor and fuel. To spot opportunities in time is crucial!
Excellence is the key to success and the required talent needs to be spotted early. The past years we have been closely collaborating with universities and the port community. In challenging research projects and graduation thesis we researched many challenges in collaboration with the port community. We did this together with interns from Erasmus University Rotterdam, TU Delft and the Rotterdam University (Hogeschool Rotterdam).
Do you want to develop innovative products in a inspirational environment? Take your chance and apply for our jobs as Front-end, Back-end or Lead developer!
On Saturday the 26th of January the yearly event of the Wadvaarders was held. It was organized at the “Maritieme Academie” in Harlingen. At the event a workshop was organised to present and discuss various apps to the Wadvaarders community. RiverGuide was also invited and we were happy to present. A great opportunity to show what we have developed based on the inputs from the previous workshop and an opportunity to get user feedback and find participants for the pilot.
Interns are an integral part of Teqplay. By facilitating multiple internships we share our knowledge and contribute to a solid education for the future generation of developers…. and tap into the pool of new talent.
Are you committed to achieve success?
It was until the late 1980s that the telephone with rotary dial could not be taken away from the desk. Exactly this old-fashioned way of thinking is still present in many maritime processes and companies. The tools have been modernized, in the form of smartphones and the mobile internet, but the way of working remained the same. It is as a new icing on the old cake. It’s time for change!
More cool ducks, more rubber ducking, more innovation! Opportunity for ambitious back-end and front-end developers with a passion for technology in an innovative and inspiring environment.
